Ectotherms
An ectotherm is an animal that depends on their environment to regulate body temperature. Amphibians and reptiles are both ectotherms and use different strategies to cope with temperature regulation.
Heliotherms:
•Warm themselves mainly by sunlight.
•They control the amount of sunlight they receive by moving in and out of the sun.
•Some reptiles darken or lighten their skin pigment to absorb more or less sunlight.
