•Habitat
•This lizard inhabits deserts dominated by sagebrush, creosotebush, greasewood, or cactus, on sandy flats, alluvial fans, washes, or at the edge of dunes Periods of inactivity are spent burrowed in the soil.
•Ants are the favorite food of horned lizards, making up about 50% of their diet. The lizards also eat honeybees and a variety of other insects.
